    Comportamiento al desgaste y corrosión de un recubrimiento TiN comercial depositado sobre AISI 316L

    En este trabajo se presentan los resultados de desgaste adhesivo y de corrosión de un recubrimiento PVD TiN comercial depositado por arco catódico sobre AISI 316L nitrurado y sin nitrurar. la nitruración se efectuó en un equipo industrial de la empresa IONAR S.A. en una mezcla de gases: 20% N2 80 % H2 a 400 ºC de temperatura, durante 20 horas.

    Mechanical and corrosion behavior of TiN coatings deposited on nitrided AISI 420 stainless steel

    TiN coatings are widely used in different applications for extending components lifetime due to their high hardness and good wear resistance. However, it is not convenient to deposit them on soft stainless steels. In this work, the wear and corrosion behavior of commercial TiN coatings deposited by Arc-PVD on nitrided and non-nitrided martensitic stainless steel was studied (duplex and coated samples respectively).
