Abstract
Este proyecto a implementar por Salto Grande presenta la instalación de un conductor OPGW (Optical Ground Wire) en reemplazo del hilo de guardia convencional para una línea de 500 kV en el tramo entre las estaciones transformadoras de Salto Grande Uruguay y San Javier. La propuesta responde a la necesidad de actualizar tecnológicamente el sistema de transmisión de información de onda portadora actual, con el objetivo de aumentar la capacidad y velocidad de transmisión de datos y mejorar el funcionamiento de las protecciones eléctricas. Se analizan las ventajas de esta implementación y se selecciona el OPGW más adecuado mediante cálculos de cortocircuito y características mecánicas, comparándolos con los del hilo de guardia actual. Se concluye que la implementación del OPGW es viable tanto desde el punto de vista eléctrico como mecánico, y que ofrece significativas ventajas en la transmisión de información.
This project, to be implemented by Salto Grande, presents the installation of an OPGW (Optical Ground Wire) conductor to replace the conventional ground wire for a 500 kV line in the section between the transformer stations of Salto Grande Uruguay and San Javier. The proposal addresses the need to technologically update the current carrier wave information transmission system, with the aim of increasing data transmission capacity and speed and improving the performance of electrical protections. The advantages of this implementation are analyzed, and the most suitable OPGW is selected through short-circuit calculations and mechanical characteristics, compared to those of the current ground wire. It is concluded that the implementation of the OPGW is feasible both electrically and mechanically, offering significant advantages in information transmission.
