Abstract
The present project is focused on proposing a solution to a problem that entails significant economic impact and loss of prestige for a company currently expanding in the oil sector. The addressed issue revolves around the excessive failures in the technologies used for unconventional oil well perforation services, leading to Non-Productive Time (NPT) and substantial financial losses for the company. To tackle this challenge, a prototype was developed with the aim of leaving outdated technologies behind and suggesting improvements to address existing shortcomings. This prototype involves a redesign of existing technologies for unconventional perforation operations. The redesigned prototype eliminates interconnection accessories known as "intermediates," thereby reducing the likelihood of failure in each operation and creating a more intuitive technology for assembly. Additionally, it features the characteristic of being a technology with less rigidity when fully assembled, as it is shorter than the string of existing technologies. This provides an advantage for operations where the well is not in ideal conditions for the descent of a tool of conventional length. By replacing the technology, we successfully eliminate the failures that currently occur most frequently during operations, reduce fines to the company, safeguard the company's reputation, and expedite field operations.
