dc.description.abstractAustenitic stainless steels are industrially used in several corrosive settings. To improve surface properties and wear resistance, different treatments can be used such as plasma nitrocarburizing or nitriding [1,2]. In this work, two short time plasma nitrocarburizing (PNC) treatments on 316L austenitic stainless steel were analyzed.
