    Austenitic stainless steels are industrially used in several corrosive settings. To improve surface properties and wear resistance, different treatments can be used such as plasma nitrocarburizing or nitriding [1,2]. In this work, two short time plasma nitrocarburizing (PNC) treatments on 316L austenitic stainless steel were analyzed.

    En este trabajo se presentan resultados de un trabajo conjunto donde se nitruraron algunas muestras en un equipo semi industrial en la TU Freiberg en Alemania, y otras en un equipo experimental del Grupo GIS, en UTN, Argentina.
