    Learning path based-portfolio for personalized learning

    Nowadays, lot of human activities have been affected by the use of technology needed to change in order to adapted. Particularly, in education domain the changes that occurred were not enough to break the traditional schemas of teaching. In this way, more and more people claim for real remodeling. Mainly, one of the most important subject is the necessity to adapt the teaching process to the particular characteristics of students, in a king of personalized learning. This work presents a conceptual framework, which proposes learning path based-portfolio as a way to personalize education. This framework uses semantic technologies, logical rules and agents to determine the student learning level and based on that propose course of actions.

    Porfolios para la evaluación de los resultados del aprendizaje en entornos de e-learning = portfolio assessment to evaluate outcomes of learning in the e-learning environment

    Durante las últimas décadas se ha notado un crecimiento importante del uso de la educación a distancia mediada por tecnologías (e-learning) como una herramienta que permite a las instituciones llegar a más estudiantes sin límites geográficos. Estudios recientes han demostrado que la evaluación constante favorece positivamente este tipo de enseñanza, generando un grado de satisfacción en los usuarios de estas tecnologías. Las evaluaciones más ampliamente usadas en este contexto son las pruebas objetivas, principalmente las pruebas de opción simple o múltiples. Sin embargo éstas no son suficientes para evaluar los distintos niveles de conocimiento que se plantean como objetivos (por ejemplo los niveles indicados en la taxonomía de Bloom). Ante esto, es necesario poder contar con herramientas que permitan realizar diferentes tipos de evaluaciones. En este trabajo se presenta una propuesta para implementar portfolios en entornos de e-learning. La misma consiste en un modelo semántico que describe una herramienta que da soporte a la generación, administración y realización de portfolios.

    Towards an ontology network for conceptualizing e-assessment domain

    With the advance in the Semantic Web and the technologies for its realization, approaches that use ontologies for different purposes in the context of e-assessment have emerged. One of these purposes is the use of ontologies as a mean of providing a structure to guide the automated design of assessments. Despite of the effort done in this direction, there is still a lot of work to be done due to the most of the approaches have proposed individual ontologies that model only a part of the assessment domain. This paper presents an ontology network, called AONet, that conceptualizes the eassessment domain with the aim of supporting the semiautomatic generation of it, taking into account not only technical aspects but also pedagogic.
