Item Corrosion resistance of DLC hard coatings deposited over nitrided PH stainless steel(2014-07-23) Cabo, Amado; Trava-Airoldi, Vladimir Jesús; Dalibón Bähler, Eugenia Laura; Brühl, Sonia Patricia; Pereira, Lânia AuxiliadoraIn this work a DLC film was deposited over ion nitrided PH stainless steel Corrax® with a Si interlayer in a CVD Plasma, where the plasma was generated and sustained by an asymmetric pulsed DC discharge. A nitrided sample was compared in all tests with a DLC coated sample and a duplex one (nitrided+coating). Nitriding has been carried out in an industrial facility with a pulsed DC discharge.Item Wear resistance of nitrided and DLC coated PH stainless steel(2013-05-27) Dalibón Bähler, Eugenia Laura; Brühl, Sonia Patricia; Trava-Airoldi, Vladimir JesúsIn this work PH stainless steel Corrax(R) was ion nitrided and coated with DLC in a CVD process.Item Influence of the silicon interlayer deposition process in the adhesion of the DLC coatings deposited on nitrided martensitic stainless steel(2017-08-25) Dalibón Bähler, Eugenia Laura; Lugo González, Dubrazkha Carolina; Ramírez Ramos, Marco Antonio; Trava-Airoldi, Vladimir Jesús; Brühl, Sonia PatriciaThe DLC coatings are characterized by good wear resistance, low friction coefficient and chemical inertness [1]. However, they have adhesion problems when they are deposited on metallic substrates. For this reason, a thin interlayer of different materials, such as silicon, is deposited previous to the coating in order to improve the adhesion. There are a few studies about the influence of the conditions of the silicon interlayer deposition on adhesion or properties of the coatings [2,3]. In this work, the adhesion of DLC coatings deposited on nitrided and non-nitrided martensitic stainless steel, modifying the silicon interlayer bias potential deposition, is studied.Item Mechanical and corrosion behaviour of DLC and TiN coatings deposited on martensitic stainless steel(2017-09-10) Dalibón Bähler, Eugenia Laura; Pecina, Jorge Nahuel; Moscatelli, Mauro Nicolás; Ramírez, Marco Antonio; Trava-Airoldi, Vladimir Jesús; Brühl, Sonia PatriciaThe objective of this work is to compare the wear, friction, adhesion and corrosion behaviour of commercial TiN and DLC coatings deposited on AISI 420 stainless steel.Item Mechanical properties and corrosion behaviour of DLC monolayers and multilayers deposited over nitrided martensitic stainless steel(2019-09-24) Brühl, Sonia Patricia; Dalibón Bähler, Eugenia Laura; Cabo, Amado; Trava-Airoldi, Vladimir JesúsDLC coatings have unique properties such as very low coefficient of criction and chemical inertness and they are used extensively as protection and solid lubricants in many industrial applications. Nevertheless, adhesion over certain substrates like stainless steel has many unresolved issues, as well as corrosion mechanisms are not well understood.Item Thermal stability of DLC coating deposited on precipitation hardening stainless steels(2015-11-17) Dalibón Bähler, Eugenia Laura; Ghafoor, Naureen; Rogström, Lina; Trava-Airoldi, Vladimir Jesús; Odén, Magnus; Brühl, Sonia PatriciaRelationship between nanohardness and annealing temperature of DLC coating on duplex (previously nitrided) and only coated PH steel samples.
