Abstract
Debido a la necesidad de duplicar la capacidad de extracción de calor requerida por una línea de producción de una empresa se propuso desarrollar el diseño de la instalación de una segunda torre de enfriamiento, para lo cual se llevó a cabo el estudio y evaluación de las posibles formas de realizar la instalación. De esta manera se llegó a tres formas distintas en las que podía realizarse la instalación (conexión en paralelo, conexión en serie, conexión en paralelo con salida compartida), para decidir entre ellas fue necesario comparar las distintas ventajas y desventajas de cada una mediante un cuadro comparativo.
Una vez decidido el esquema de conexión más conveniente se continuó con el diseño comprendiendo el cálculo y dimensionamiento de la ingeniería eléctrica, hidráulica, lógica de automatización; ncluyendo planos y las especificaciones de los componentes del sistema requeridos.
Given the need to double the heat extraction capacity required by the production line of the company, it was proposed to develop the installation of a second cooling tower, for which was carried out the study and evaluation of the possible ways to do the installation. For that study three different ways were reached in which the installation could be carried out (parallel connection, series connection, parallel connection with shared output), to decide between them it was necessary to compare the different advantages and disadvantages of each one by means of a comparative chart. Once the most convenient connection scheme was decided, the design was continued, including the calculation and dimensioning of the electrical, hydraulic, and automation logic engineering; including drawings and specifications of required system components.
