Abstract
The use of PET (polyethylene terephthalate) in Argentina is restricted principally to beverages, edible oils, cosmetics and cleaning substances, where beverage bottles represent most of this market. However, it is possible to develop other uses for PET that are not customary in local industry. Milk drinks and cider are some usual options in others markets. These alternatives for PET bottles are not considered to be significant in Argentina. This study develops the possibility of using PET bottles for cider and milk.
