Abstract
A survey has been carried out to diagnose the discomforts presented by the students at the San Francisco Regional Faculty National Technological University, in order to correct or implement practices that benefit the health of the students. Sex, weight, height, sports, activity, night rest, consultation with health professionals, posture, and visual problems, were chosen as variables to take into account in the presence of pain or discomfort that students manifest. The concern for the well-being of the students, comes hand in hand with the paradigm shift that is intended to be implemented in the UTN, where the role of learning passes from the teacher to the student, for this it is also necessary to worry about the health of the students. The analysis of the survey results has been divided according to gender. The complaints, in order of importance, among women are headache, cervicalgia or pain behind the neck, and pain in the middle and lower spine. While in men, the main pain is neck pein, followed by headache and leg pain. In both cases, these discomforts are related to little physical activity, sleep problems and not consulting health professionals. Based on this, Universities should organize regular health checks or require them, also have a diversity of schedules and possibilities for the practice of physical activities.
