Abstract
Cada vez son más los usuarios que consideran reducir costos en el consumo de energías hogareñas. Esto suele darse como consecuencia de las elevadas tarifas que las empresas suministradoras de energía aplican como sanción disciplinaria sobre sus clientes. De esta forma, los usuarios terminan ajustando sus costumbres de uso solo por una cuestión monetaria. Asimismo la energía es un recurso limitado y su accesibilidad depende en gran medida de cuán responsable sean sus consumidores. CheapHeat es un prototipo de simulación que pretende elevar el nivel de conciencia de sus usuarios, asistiéndolos a tomar decisiones tendientes a reducir el consumo energético, simulando escenarios y sugiriendo acciones de uso más racional y eficiente de la energía.
More and more users are considering reducing costs in household energy consumption. This usually occurs as a result of the high rates that energy supply companies apply as a disciplinary sanction on their customers. In this way, users end up adjusting their customs of use only for a monetary issue. Energy is also a limited resource and its accessibility depends largely on how responsible its consumers are. CheapHeat is a simulation prototype that aims to raise the level of awareness of its users, assisting them to make decisions aimed at reducing energy consumption, simulating scenarios and suggesting actions for more rational and efficient use of energy.
