Abstract
This article has as its main purpose to gather information and analyze the evolution of the complex system of poultry industry in the Argentinian state of Entre Ríos. lt studies, from the converqent pers pective of knowledge economics and the sociology of technology (Thomas, 2008; 2010; Dagnino y Thomas, 2000; Lepratte, Thomas y Yoguel, 2012), the changes which took place in their structures from interna! incentives, and the ability of the system to produce internal changes as a result of external incentives. One of the characteristic of poultry is the integration of the productive process from core industries, which once made possible the con solidation of rural producers. Since the current scales of production and the increasing strict specification in the breeding facilities, sorne of the producers may feel threatened by the possibility of a negative impact on regional developments. Through an analysis of the scheme, regarded as a complex system, it would be possible to confirm the weaknesses and vulnerabilities of the integrated producers.
