Abstract
El presente trabajo propone un plan de monitoreo ambiental in situ para evaluar
el estado del piso y suelo en corrales de feedlots operativos de la provincia de
Buenos Aires. Basado en un análisis de bibliografía técnica-científica y de la
normativa vigente, se identifican indicadores fisicoquímicos y estructurales
relevantes para diagnosticar la acumulación de nutrientes, sales, metales y
fármacos derivados de la actividad ganadera intensiva, así como alteraciones en
la estructura superficial de los suelos. El diseño del plan contempla criterios
accesibles de muestreo y frecuencias de evaluación adaptadas a las condiciones
productivas locales. Asimismo, se proponen metodologías de medición viables
para su aplicación por actores públicos y privados, junto con medidas de
mitigación específicas ante la detección de desvíos en indicadores. El trabajo
busca contribuir con las prácticas de manejo ambiental en sistemas de engorde
a corral, en un contexto donde aún persisten oportunidades de mejora en la
definición y aplicación de criterios técnicos concretos para la conservación del
recurso suelo.
This work proposes an in situ environmental monitoring plan to assess the condition of the surface layer and underlying soil in operational feedlot corrals in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Based on a review of technical-scientific literature and current regulations, relevant physicochemical and structural indicators are identified to diagnose the accumulation of nutrients, salts, metals, and pharmaceuticals derived from intensive livestock production, as well as changes in the superficial structure of the soil. The plan's design includes accessible sampling criteria and evaluation frequencies adapted to local productive conditions. Feasible measurement methodologies are proposed for application by both public and private stakeholders, along with specific mitigation measures in the event of deviations in key indicators. The objective of this work is to contribute to improved environmental management practices in confined animal feeding operations, in a context where there are still opportunities to enhance the definition and implementation of technical criteria for soil resource conservation.
