Abstract

It is also part of the multiple tasks that are carried out in the electrical distribution process, and it is necessary to calculate the costs of energy consumed for domestic and commercial purposes. Commercial electrical measurement is performed by using a consumption meter or electric meter. The parameters measured in an installation are the consumption in kilowatt-hour, the peak demand, the rest demand, the valley demand, the peak demand, the off-peak demand, and the power factor and in special cases, the contribution of electrical noise or harmonic components to the network. In the present work the theoretical study of a measurement system of active and reactive powers in three-phase electrical loads is developed. This will be used as an integral part of another project, consisting of a method to measure and monitor the consumption status of a given load. For the latter, the use of modern digital control devices connected to networks with Internet access will be very useful, allowing measurements to be made on equipment that is distant from each other. In this way the present work will be the basis of theoretical support that will allow concluding in the mentioned practical solution
