Abstract
En la primera parte de este trabajo se explican los principios de una nueva técnica de radiografía médica (imágenes con fuente codificadora o IFC), que utiliza fuentes radiactivas extensas.
En la segunda parte, se presenta una técnica novedosa de imágenes gamma en Medicina
Nuclear (imágenes de apertura total o IAT). Ambas técnicas permiten recopilar información 3D
en una única adquisición. Se exhiben imágenes simuladas que muestran la utilidad potencial
de IFC y de IAT en aplicaciones de diagnóstico médico. Los resultados permitieron comprobar
que ambas técnicas poseen rendimientos superiores, en varios aspectos, a las técnicas convencionales vigentes.
The principles of a new medical radiography technique (coding source imaging or CSI) are explained in the first part of this work. CSI uses extended radioactive sources. The second part presents a novel gamma imaging technique in Nuclear Medicine (full aper-ture imaging or FAI). Both techniques allow to collect 3D information in a single acquisition. We exhibit simula- ted images showing the potential usefulness of IFC and IAT in medical diagnostic applications. The results allowed to check that both techniques have superior performance, in various as- pects, to the existing conventional techniques.
