Abstract
Abstract: Economic and social development has generated awareness among public and non-governmental organizations about the need and urgency of putting limits on the increase in environmental pollution that these activities generate, mainly related to transportation and industries. e current mobility system is inefficient, expensive and unsustainable. Pollution caused by transport reaches alarming figures and is harmful to health. e transports that take place in developed countries are responsible for 30 % to 90 % of the total polluting gases emitted by traffic throughout the world. National information on pollution associated with transport in general and in particular that generated by the production of manufactured concrete is scarce. is work aims to be the starting point of an exploratory investigation through surveys of concrete plants in Argentina, analyzing the current situation of transport from raw material suppliers to concrete mixers and from concrete mixers to the final laying of concrete. e discussions on the results obtained demonstrate the need to deepen the subject in order to take immediate actions that contribute to the reduction of pollution associated with transport.
