Abstract
Facilitating Participatory Design experiences to create software for neurodiverse adults involves many challenges. It is crucial to consider the preferences of people who participate when each activity is planned. In this paper, we propose a conceptual framework to guide facilitators in designing and conducting Participatory Design experiences focused on neurodiverse participants. This framework is based on Design Thinking (which uses the practices/ways of thinking of designers to innovate in the creation of new products). A summary of the current state of this topic is presented and a space for discussion is provided to invite designers to reflect.
