Abstract
Aislamiento Social Preventivo y Obligatorio (ASPO) y Distanciamiento Social Preventivo y
Obligatorio (DSPO).
The health situation generated by COVID-19 forced governments to implement social isolation measures. This blocking generated effects on noise pollution. The aim of this work was to analyze the environmental noise levels at different measurement points in the city of Córdoba, Argentina, comparing two moments with different degrees of restriction: Preventive and Obligatory Social Isolation (ASPO) and Preventive and Obligatory Social Distancing (DSPO). A-weighted equivalent continuous sound pressure level LAeq[dBA] was recorded through the Sound Analyzer App at five times throughout a day, during a week. The results show statistically significant differences between the acoustic levels of the ASPO and the DSPO. Faced with an unprecedented acoustic scenario, it seeks to create awareness about the benefits of reducing noise pollution.
