Abstract
La evolución histórica de los dispositivos de control utilizados en la electrónica industrial muestra
que se requiere un enfoque sistémico para continuarla en su acelerado crecimiento. Este enfoque
solo se logra mediante un cambio de paradigma en el proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje de la ingeniería, con el nacimiento de una nueva disciplina: la mecatrónica. En ella deben confluir conceptos
de diseño provenientes de la ingeniería electrónica, la eléctrica y la mecánica, más saberes especializados de las ciencias básicas.
The historical evolution of control devices applied by industrial electronics shows that a systemic insight is required in order to continue its accelerated growth. This insight can only be achieved by means of a paradigmatic change in the present engineering teaching-learning process, giving birth to a new discipline: mechatronics. Design concepts becoming from electronic, electric and mechanical engineering must merge with specialized knowledge from basic sciences.
