Abstract
The studies related to colored concrete is characterized by being innovative, because there is a deficiency of research, particularly in aspects related to durability. As a contribution to knowledge is presented an experimental study on developing a family of conventional concrete and a colored concrete with pigments (iron oxides) of red, black and yellow, the properties are determined in fresh and hardened. The bleeding was characterized by the “ability to bleed”, the water permeability was determined under pressure and air permeability was evaluated by Swiss Standard SIA 262/2003. The study of properties related to the durability of colored concrete, particularly those that depend directly on the ease with which aggressive agents can enter and move within the porous structure, support the conclusion that the incorporation of pigment in the test conditions studied, are favorable for the durability of concrete under study.
